Under the direction and instruction of Mrs. Monica Schraiber Otero, this Art Camp is a three-week program during the month of July for ages 5-11. Focusing on Creativity, Imagination and Ingenuity, Art Camp offers children a unique opportunity to acquire or improve artistic skills, learn new techniques, explore different materials and get inspired by famous artists. All while having fun!
Central Theme for 2025: Nature: The Ultimate Artist
During this three-week program discover how Art relates to Nature as you find fascinating colors, patterns, and shapes in the animal and plant kingdoms. Explore habitats and ecosystems of different species on land and sea and learn about their unique characteristics. Zebras, giraffes, tigers, leopards, turtles, birds, fish, butterflies and insects as well as trees, plants and flowers will be depicted using a variety of materials.
Create 2-D and 3-D pieces including drawings, paintings, prints, collages and sculptures and see how famous artists have represented the beauty in Nature.
Draw using wet and dry media, sculpt with air-dry clay, construct using recyclables, make collages, prints, paint outdoors, design your own camp T-shirt and much more!
Themed artwork varies each day.
